Suggest me the useful websites of prototyping

Postby Logesh on Sat Jan 01, 2005 11:01 am

Could any one suggest me the maximum thickness of the part that can be made in Prototyping. Is there any online material on prototyping. Kindly help me in getting the details of it.

They don't have a lot of traffic now, but I think it has potential.

logesh

we have molded parts with 5mm thickness (from prototype molds).
the material was ABS.

I dont think thickness has anything to do with making of prototype molds. Yes?

I think logesh meant the part thickness, as far as I have seen in working units at the Plastics Trade Shows NPE, PlasTech the size of the prototype machine determins the part thickness.

Dr Dick

I would not agree that the "size of prototype machine would determine the part thickness"

can you explain this to me?

We have molded parts with 3.0mm wall thickness (ABS) on a "manual" injection molding machine (plunger type) !
