Valox film on mold

Postby JD Howard on Thu May 31, 2012 6:45 pm

We have a couple of molds that use valox material the problem is after the run the valox leaves behind a film in some areas of the mold and its very time consuming to remove we have tried several different heavy duty mold cleaners and so far nothing seems to break it down or at least loosen it up does anyone know of a product that might work.
Thanks

I have used two methods to remove this from Valox and POM. Easy Off oven cleaner and Slide's resin remover. The Slide is easier and is to be used on a hot mold while running parts. Open the door, spray, throw the nest few shots away, then keep the rest of them.
