Fibres for Mechanical Humidity Meter

I need to source plastic fibres that change length quickly in response to higher or lower relative humidities, similar to older mechanical humidity meters that used human hair or other material. Any recommendations on a manufacturer to contact? I am looking for a rapid and significant change in length as the humidity increases or decreases.
