Recycling Multilayer films

Postby djohn83 on Wed Jun 24, 2009 2:52 am

Helo people,

I was just wondering I generally understand how plastic is seperated when recycling, but does the presence of barrier layers ie:EVOH/PA in multilayer films affect the ability to recycle them?
Or is it a case of grind them up drop in some compatabaliser and Volia?

Curiously,

If you had been at NPE you would have seen several operating lines for recycled multi-layer films.

Thanks for the reply,
although it dosent exactly answer my whole question. (At least now I know it definately is possible)
Im also keen to know how is it managed?
As much as I would enjoy dropping by for the fair, I happen to be on the other side of the world.
Could I have your insight considering you possibily would have attended?

Best regards,
djohn
