Drying nylons

Postby Ian22 on Fri Dec 11, 2009 7:29 am

Could anyone recommend a "good" dryer for nylons/ pebaxs.

Which is better Desiccant, Vacuum, hot air etc etc.???

Are there dryers on the market that help prevent overdrying these materials? How is this achieved??

What are the key characteristics to look for in a dryer for nylon?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Most driers on the market will work, just be sure not to over dry the nulon. Here is a link to a document that mentiions just that problem.

When it talks about "under filling" in molding, think of a feed stoppage or slowing of feed in extrusion.
