Postby Alfo on Wed Mar 16, 2005 11:51 am

I am looking for a digital printing machines that can print words, logos and images of different colours on plastic control panel (rectangular shape with a rounded surface), like an inkjet printer for plastic components.
I need companies in Italy or in Europe.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

keyboard keys or even phone numbers keys? I have just come across a project where I am going to need to label some components as well. Unfortunately It seems like the main labeling is either in mould or heat shrinks... This is not an option for me because A the job does not have enough demand for me to buy a machine for in mold labeling and B given the application on of the component, heat shrinks want be able to meet the cosmetic standard required. Any insights, pointers, ideas or even giving me a hard time would greatly be appreciated. 8)

laser marking should work for both of your applications. Check out Epilogue and Telesis. They should be able to help you out.

I don't believe laser marking can be done in colors but you can use pad printing using ink that can absorb into the plastic. I'll try to find the typw and brand name. It's been used for keyboards for quite some time.

I want to design a basic inkjet printer. Where I can start for the same? I would like to have the basic understanding of the inkjet printers. Also would prefer to know the technology being used in it.
