Acetate Help!

Postby nbedrossian on Fri Aug 03, 2007 8:50 am

I am looking for an acetate cake ring that has a high enough melting point so that I can bake the cake in it without the plastic shrinking. I will be purchansing a rigid plastic bakeable mold, and need something to line the ring that is also bakeable.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Is the acetate cake ring a ring to bake cake that is made from acetate, or a ring to bake acetate in?

I'm having trouble determining what it is that you are looking for.

Can you clarify?

It is an acetate ring to bake the cake in.....there will be a rigid CPET ring for structural support and the acetate is a thin liner that we want to line the CPET with so that once the cake is filled and baked and topped with mousse, the cake will slide out of the CPET and will be ready for packaging.

Thanks!
