Material Marketplace?

Hi,

I've recently taken over the control of materials for anm injection moulding company that makes a wide range of parts using a wide range of materials. The last guy in charge of raw materials made a bit of a pigs ear of it and we have a lot of different kinds of materials every colour of the rainbow which we are never going to use.

One option is to send it away to be recycled obviously but some materials we have upto 5T of so I want to see if I can sell it first.

Does anyone know of any sites where you can advertise or auction off fairly small quantities of materials like this? Or any companies that would buy such a range of materials?

We have a pretty wide range (HIPS, HomoPP, CoPP, LDPE, ABS, GF Nylon)

If you have a school or college near you that offers plastics training you may be able to donate material and take a tax write off of the resin purchase price. Your local SPE section might even help transporting the resins to the school.

Why not try http://www.tradepolymer.com . This sounds like what you need it is a Free Plastic Exchange where you can place adverts for your plastic so that other companies can bid for it or contact you about it.

Where are you located? We are on the east coast and use an outfit that takes almost every resin we process.

Looks like alot of the materials we currently use....Put together a pkg or list and send it to my purchasing Manager...Or email me direct and I can forward it on to him. We too are an end user........
