Male and Female Knives differences in dimensions?

We are working with thermoforming machines that use moulds with forming and cutting on one station.

My question is what must be the differnce between the male and the female knives regarding cutting dimensions (in hundreds)? I am referring to a mould that will produce PP cups with diamter 100mm and thickness of sheet of PP 1mm.
We are wondering what differces must be set for the knives in order for them not to get damaged during thermoforming production!
