Gate Balance

I have physically balanced the 4 cavity edge gates to where each molds within 2 grams. Would this be Scientific Acceptable. Within 94% After 2 hours of sampling im leavin it there!

I suppose that would be decided depending on what you are molding, and the tolerances it requires. I am impressed; most people would have run screaming from the plant, without clothes, after two hours! Rick.

Are you saying that each cavity part weigh is within 2 grams? If so, what is the total part weight?

This depend how you arrange the gate position, ie same product or family product

Well, this can be done through simulation to check the flow balance.

This will eliminate all kind of time waste during mold trial or testing with different percentage shot mould.

imbalance has three reasons.You have to run short run progression.If you see imbalance 10% full parts -steel related(gate or runner) if you see problem start around 40%-50% full parts realogy related ( pure and rich cooling around surface ( one cavity hotter than others)If you see problem start 85-90% full part you have venting issue.
