Can you mold 30% FR powder with 70% PP. I bet it wont feed?! They say mold low temps? it will be a miracle.

Thats the recommended mix for CHARMOR FR/ and Exolit. Sounds crazy but its mostly used in extrusion. I hope it feeds.

Feeding extruders is different because they don't start and stop the screw like we have to. I would be really worried about that stuff getting gummy at that load!! Good luck with it!

I don't know the type extruder you are using or the consistency of the powder, but generally speaking, 1 to 2% is about all that an extruder can handle of powder due to separate of the ingredients in the hopper. The powder will tend to separate.

Of course if you are running a twin screw and feeders, you should be able to handle it with no problem.

Never heard of an FR ratio that high. Don't know what the end use of your product is, but be careful and keep us in the loop of how it goes. With a 30% powder additive, I'm wondering what the finished part will look like.

I cant believe that ratio actually fed on the P.P., The screw did tend to slip a little , so i had to drop the back pressure down to about 40 psi. Now i tried the same on P/c ! Wow what a mistake! totally sepertated.
