Being a veteran myself I know the difficulties involved in acclimating ourselves back into civilian life. The structure of the military is so much different than the structure in most civilian companies. Many veterans are taught how to think quickly and make judgment calls in the spur of the moment. Most companies out there offer jobs that are monotonous and do not challenge us the way we were used to being challenged. Internet / Web affiliate marketing is perfect for Veterans. It doesn’t require a huge investment; in fact an Internet affiliate marketing business can be started with no money at all. If you can analyze data and make sharp decisions you will thrive at this business. If you are a Veteran and you’re looking for a way to stay home and spend more time with your family, Internet affiliate marketing is the way to go.

Here are a few tips when starting an Internet affiliate marketing business. Make sure you know that it is just that … a business. To be successful, you need to treat your business like a business and focus on growth. You need to spend time each day nurturing your business. Internet Marketing is just like any other business in the sense you have to work at it to make it grow. Once put in a little time and effort your business will grow.

But first you need to get started. The first step is to decide what you want to market. There are tons of products and services available. Just make sure you find a nice niche that isn’t overly competitive. This is the biggest mistake most “newbie’s” make, they’re in such a hurry they run out and promote the first thing they think of, like mp3 players. Big mistake, that market is way over saturated. If you want to promote MP3 players then it should be more specific like, Red Sanyo 230e MP3 player. Then your chances of success will be much greater. After you choose what you want to promote then you market your product or service through Pay per click advertising (this cost some money) or through free sources such as blogs, and websites. Then you constantly analyze data to upgrade your position in search engines so you can get more traffic to your site. This takes time and effort, both of which most veterans are used to giving. There is a lot of information out there for free to help you get started. You can find it, I did. It just took forever to sift through all the garbage. I found one source where you can learn everything you need and it only cost about $ 30 a month. You can unsubscribe at anytime. They give you step by step guides and they also have a forum that is worth the price alone. Many of the members are Veterans themselves who started an internet affiliate marketing business from scratch and are now very successful, including myself. Check it out and if you decide to join send me an email and I’ll make myself available to answer any questions you may have. The service is called “The Wealthy Affiliate University”.
