- Reciprocal directories which require websites to link to them.
- Paid directories or directories to which payments have to be made in order for a website to be listed.
- Free directories that are free to submit to.
There are few answers to this question:
- If you have a new website then directory submissions is a good way to get your site indexed and recognized by search engines.
- Directory submissions also help the search engines classify the theme of your site based on the category your site is listed under and the link/anchor text used in your submissions.
- Directories provide one-way back links to your site and it's a well known fact that the more number of quality in-links you have, the higher you would rank in the search engines.
- You can control the link text with which a directory links to your site, which will add more value to your incoming links & make them more relevant. It will also help your website rank high for searches made with those target terms.
- Directory submissions can eventually lead to an increase in traffic to your site by way of improved rankings that come about from the increase in quality inbound links that you get to your site.
Yes, directory links can to a certain extent, contribute to higher ranking positions on search engines for the targeted keywords. Since the links you get are from SEO-friendly directories, they can be detected by the search engines. Search engines also place greater value on links that are listed under relevant categories. You can also choose the link/anchor text for your submissions which will add more value to your links & make them more relevant. It will help you to feature more prominently in the search results and also help in getting your web site to rank high for those terms on the search engines, which will eventually increase the traffic to your site.
All the directories to which we submit are general quality English directories targeting a global English speaking audience. They have a broad range of categories and subcategories so that they can list sites of every kind under the most relevant category. Your site will be submitted to the most relevant category in these directories.
No, you are not required to give reciprocal links to any directory as we submit only to those directories that give out one-way links. Even if the directory has the option of giving reciprocal links, we only choose the one-way link option.
You can submit to as many directories as you want. How many you submit to, would ideally depend on your budget. We offer you the flexibility to choose between submitting to the entire list of directories or a specific number of directories.
We do give you the option of submitting your sites by Page Rank, however it is not advisable for two reasons:
Firstly, when lower PR directories increase in PR, they tend to charge for submissions, i.e. they become paid directories and by not submitting to these directories now, you could lose out on getting a free link from a quality directory. A directory with a lower PR doesn't necessarily mean that it is of poor quality and should not be submitted to, as it may be a new directory and its PR could also increase with time.
Secondly, by choosing to submit only by higher page ranks, you could possibly lose out on links from directories that have the potential to increase from PR0 to a higher PR.
For these reasons, submitting according to PR is not always recommended.
Although you do have the option of choosing the number of directories to which you want to submit, you cannot select the specific directories to which you want your site submitted.
We submit most types of sites. The types of sites that cannot be submitted are those that belong to any of the following categories:
Adult
Illegal sites
Sites promoting hatred and violence
Sites that redirect to a different domain. E.g., www.abc.com redirecting to www.123.com. If the redirect is to another inner page from the same domain, then we can submit the site.
We can submit non-English websites provided the titles and descriptions are written in English. Although English websites do have better chances of approval, non-English sites with submissions details in English also have very good chances of approval.
As of now we only submit to English language directories. Foreign language sites can be submitted to these directories, as long as the titles and descriptions for these sites are written in English.
Yes, we do submit inner pages or deep links. However, please note that the average approval rates we've observed for such type of submissions may decrease slightly as if you are submitting more than 4-5 inner pages at once.
In the context of directory submissions, titles are the text of the link which is approved by the directory. Titles could be anywhere between 2 to 5 words long and should be written in such a way that they target the terms you're looking to rank for while also being interesting enough for readers to click on them. Titles are important since search engines find and classify the relevancy of your site based on these link titles (also called anchor text) as they appear in the directories. Therefore titles can be used to target specific words or search terms, which will consequently help in getting your web site to rank high for those terms on the search engines. For e.g. if I have a website dealing with silver jewelry, then few titles that I can use to target my relevant keywords could be 'Silver Jewelry Designs', 'Fashion Silver Jewelry', 'Precious Sterling Silver Collections' etc.
A description is a short, yet informative paragraph, which should ideally represent or explain what the site/page is about. Features and benefits may be included as long as it doesn't make the description sound too promotional. The description should include content that the target audience would be interested in reading. It should, in a few brief sentences, establish to the readers and search engines, the nature and purpose of the site.
The search engines do not get suspicious and do not penalize you in any way for the links that you receive from the directories. Actually, it takes time before you get your links from directories after submissions. Even if you submit to all directories at once, not all directories will review and approve your site immediately. The timeframe for review and approval could vary from a week to 90 days. So the pace at which you get your links is normal.
Yes, with our service, you can control the speed of your submissions and spread them over a period of 2-5 weeks. This feature is available in the Submit Site section.
If you have made directory submissions for your site earlier on your own or using any other service then we will not be able to filter that at the time of the order or submissions. We will come to know that the URL has been submitted to this particular directory only after te entire process of submission is over. After the submission is done, the directories give an error saying "Link Already Exists". Since, we would have executed the entire submission process and put equal time and effort in to this submission, we will be charging you for the submission.
After the submissions have been completed for your website, the process of review and listing of your site in these directories could take anywhere from 3-90 days as each of the directories follow their own approval process. Not all directories review and approve each and every site that has been submitted. On an average, it has been observed that one could expect to get 35 - 40% link approvals within a 3-month time period.
We do not submit to DMOZ as we believe that many website owners would have already done it themselves. Besides this, resubmitting a site to DMOZ could lead to rejection of the site. This is why we recommend that submissions to DMOZ should be made individually for best results.
We do not submit to search engines, we only submit to general web directories. In any case, the search engines find your sites through the links you get from other sites. We submit your site to directories which will give you links, thus making it easier for search engines to find your site naturally without you having to submit to them.
We essentially are a directory submission service. We save you the time and effort it takes to make these submissions on your own and we do it professionally and accurately. While we do our best to ensure high rates of link approvals from directories, it is difficult for us to keep track of the same, since there is no fixed time frame within which directories review and approve sites and neither will we know where your link is specifically positioned and under which category.
Once your submissions are completed, you will be provided with a complete report in the 'Reports' section of your account. You can check the names of the directories to which we have submitted your site as well as the submission details in this report. We keep a track of the directories to which your site has been submitted so that we do not submit to the same directories in the future. You can also download the submissions report in Excel/CSV format.
There is no limit to the number of sites you can have in your account. However, if you plan on adding several URLs to your account, you may want to use the grouping feature in order to classify your site according to the website, client, theme etc. When you are adding a new site, you can click on the 'Grouping Options' at the top right hand corner of the add site page and create your own group under which to store your site. This makes for easier sorting especially if you have many sites in your account.
Once you have placed your order, all the details that you enter for your site are reviewed by our quality team for relevancy, spelling, grammatical errors and adherence to the guidelines of the directories. It is also here that they write the category instructions for your site to be submitted under. They choose the most relevant categories for your site to be submitted under; also taking into consideration the category preferences you have entered.
After this thorough and detailed quality check, we start you submissions manually to the number of directories ordered. You get a Live Report of all the submissions as and when they are made.
A few directories send out emails, informing you of your sites' approval. Apart from this, you could also check the directories to which your site has been submitted, to find your links.
The cost per submission is ____ subject to a minimum order value of ____ It is only a one-time fee that you have to pay. There are no recurring costs or any other hidden costs involved. Apart from that we do not have any other conditions and you are free to order as per your budget.
If you opt for the email handling service, we create a separate email account for your directory submissions and action out all the emails that we receive from the web directories. It will cost you an additional ____ per submission, so the cost per submission goes up to ____.
Payments are made per submission and not per link approval. The basic purpose of our service is to save you the time and effort you would otherwise spend on making submissions on your own. In addition to that, our expertise in making your submissions as perfect as possible also helps in improving your chances of getting approved by the directories. As for link approvals, it is at the sole discretion of the editor of each directory to review and approve sites.
You can make a payment either through PayPal or a Credit Card while placing the order. Payments made through PayPal are processed on secure servers at www.paypal.com, while credit card payments are processed securely at www.2CO.com. All payment-related information entered remains confidential.

Yes, you will get a bill/invoice for all orders that you place as soon as the order is placed. You can check your invoice in the Invoice section of your account.
Submission credits are credits given to you if we are not able to make any submission in the order. It could be because the directory is have it's server update and is not loading at that time, has become a paid directory or now requires a reciprocal link. Whenever we are not able to do any submission for you, we credit your account with submission credits for that submission. 1 Submission Credit = $USD 1 and you can redeem it against all your future orders. You can use your submission credits in the following ways:
To get a discount on the amount payable for your current order: For e.g., if your order value is $50 and you have 10 credits in your account, you could click on the 'Use Credits Link' on the payment page and the entire amount of the available credit will automatically be used to reduce your amount payable to $------.
To pay for an entire order: For e.g., if you have a balance of ----- credits in your account, you could pay for up to 100 directory submissions (calculated at ------ cents per submission) by going to the 'Submit your Sites' section and entering '100' in the 'Specific number of directories to be submitted' column, the entire credit available would then automatically be used to pay for your order without you having to make any payment. You are also given credits at the end of your order for all submissions which couldn't be completed due to the following reasons; When certain directories are deleted from our list because they do not adhere to our guidelines or in other cases the directory does not open at that time due to a server update.
