David Hahn

Mr. Hahn joined plastics.com in 2006 to oversee it's expansion. David Hahn is a well known, plastics industry veteran with over 40 years experience at the highest levels of management across manufacturing, administration and internet spheres.

Mr. Hahn has been active with plastics.com since 2002, first through the National Plastics Center partnership and then as an investor and principal.

With a substantial record of achieving growth and P&L results for technology-driven manufacturing companies, David Hahn has a record of successes in business development, market opportunity analysis, marketing and/or sale of technology, and the formation of strategic alliances and licensing.

From 1972 until 2001, Mr. Hahn worked as a top level executive (Vice President, General Manager, President and CEO) for several of the plastics industries world leading plastics equipment manufacturers including Beloit, Boy Machines, Milacron, FerroMatik Milicron of India, and Autojectors.

In 2002 the National Plastics Center's Board of Directors held a nation wide search to fill the Presidency of the organization in which the needs included being an established, visible industry leader as well as P&L success. Mr. Hahn was selected from a field of 80 well known candidates due to his industry leadership position as well as his managerial abilities.

Mr. Hahn was an early adoptor of internet technology, starting a partnership with plastics.com to jump start his management of the National Plastics Center's fundraising and marketing efforts and the establishment of a strong internet presence. During this time Mr. Hahn successfully lead a seven million dollar fund raising campaign.

At Ferromatik Milacron (FMI) in Ahmadabad, India, Mr. Hahn came in as CEO of a 245 employee business that had been unprofitable in it's two and a half year history and turned FMI around to lead it to 10 straight successive quarters of profitability.

As Vice President and General Manager of Cincinnati Milacron's  Plastics Machinery Division, Mr. Hahn established a new business unit, oversaw $50 million in sales and introduced all-electric molding machines to the US as well as developing the strategic plan for growth.

Mr. Hahn graduated with a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, WI. and is a director of the Plastics Hall of Fame, a Governor of the Plastics Pioneer Association (limited to 250 industry leaders), a past SPI board of directors member and past chairman of the NPE tradeshow where he set records for attendance and profitability.
